Cats are my passion!

My name is Susanne Furrer and I welcome you warmly in my cat pension.

In December 2017 I opened my own small cat pension in a specially furnished room with an open terrace. Two years later we could already expand and in addition transform the whole granny flat as well as the adjoining seat into a cat paradise.

Since at least 2015 when I met those wilful and sensitive creatures again, they won’t stop fascinating me. The desire to work with them started to grow with the young longhaired kitten named Sancho, who joined me and my partner at that time in our new home in Meierskappel at the age of four months. Six months later, the ten years old abandoned Siberian cat Boris joined us.

My decision to start the education in pet care ripened while living together with those two adorable fellows, both showing us their original characters every day.

Another six months later we adopted a four years old mixed breed she-dog from the animal shelter, who settled in quickly and without any problems. At the end of 2018 another abandoned 12 year old cat, named Skipper, came to us. After a short, serious illness our beloved Boris left us in May 2019 and Skipper in December 2021 both much too early. We all miss those two very much and will keep them in our hearts forever.

In November 2017, I had successfully graduated with the educational degree in pet care. During my three months’ internship at the Ennetseeklinik for small animals in Hünenberg, I acquired the knowledge and expertise of handling cats, dogs and other small animals.
